Perfect 10

Maxim is 10 months old… In the last month, he has hit some serious milestones. He started crawling and standing up. He is leery of taking those first steps but loves to stand up and plop down over and over again! He is starting to really interact when we read to him by laughing, yelling, and slapping the book. He watches our mouths when we are reading and we have definitely noticed progression in his speech development. He says “ma-ma-ma” and “da-da-da” which is ADORABLE!

He is still a curious little boy that loves to go after sunglasses, earrings, remote controls, cell phones, cables, and anything that looks like he shouldn’t be playing with it. Once he sees something he likes, he waits until the perfect chance (maybe mommy is looking away) to go after it full steam ahead! Our little guy is a bit of a dare-devil… he does his own stunts!

Sleeping has been a pain point for us. He is starting to have some separation anxiety when we put him down for naps and bedtime where he used to not have those issues. Of course, all new fears and issues come with a developing little brain! We are reaching out to all of our mommy friends for advice and support on this one!!! Sleeping issues are a tough nut to crack but we are dedicated to teaching our little man to be self reliant and fearless.

Maxim is still a pro-eater! We are eating dinner as a family at the table which is a wonderful experience. He likes barbeque chicken, fish, spaghetti noodles, veggies, and fruits. Since his peanut fiasco, he has not had any allergic reactions. We will be seeing an allergist later on this month to determine what he is allergic to. He has been drinking from a sippy cup since 6 months and will not take a bottle anymore. We recently tried to give him a bottle with formula just to add a little more to his daily intake (he is still getting breastmilk) and he was not having it! He can definitely be a bit stubborn when he wants to be but for the most part he is an adventurous eater. In the end, Maxim is a healthy, intelligent, charming, joyful, curious, and loving little boy and his parents are head over heels in love with him! We continue to count our blessings and are thankful for all of our gifts... See you at the next post! :)
